The Voyage - Day 6

Project Africa
The Voyage - Day 6 (7/27/15)

“There were such colorful and elaborate cloths and the hotel was beautiful.”

We flew out today from Cairo, Egypt to Accra, Ghana. Our flight left at 3:10am so everyone is pretty exhausted. The difference in the look, feel, smell, and aura of the people from America to Africa vs between African countries was interesting to observe. Luckily the day was set aside for rest and restoration because although I was excited to finally get to Ghana, I was also beyond tired when we arrived. That evening we had vendors that were brought to the hotel to fit people for custom-made outfits from the traditional African cloths and patterns. There were such colorful and elaborate cloths and the hotel was beautiful. I’m a little wowed by the weather too… It’s a little warm but not like what I expected. And there is always a cool breeze.
