Today I touched down in Egypt...Kemet...the black land...the birthplace of civilization from the genius minds that created the pyramids...so humbling. Everything is tan...the sand, the land, the buildings, the people, everything. The first thing I looked out for, of course, was the pyramids. They're a huge part of why I wanted to come to this particular country in the motherland before journeying on to Ghana. We were a little delayed so rescheduled the museum tour originally set for today. Instead we were able to get a little R&R before enjoying a night narrated light-show out at the pyramids. The weather tonight was amazing...the perfect night breeze. I didn't expect that. Tomorrow we tour the pyramids!
